paradoxical....

the way weddings look to me (guess everyone too), they' re supposed to be 'traditional' - the attires, the pujas, the music, the food.... n everything.

ive never comprehended why then, during weddings, men wear those suits (not all men, but most of them atleast...) that isn't traditional attire.

is it??

you have all the women gorgeously decked, donning traditionally jewellery, saris et al...
n there the men are , especially the bridegroom, wearing a suit!!!

seems so weird! imagine a woman in a business suit during her wedding.

paradoxical!

Imagine standing there in a suit, giving out artificial smiles while having ones photo taken with distant relatives and friends. *Groan*

hmmm .... I think the ones in suits are an endangered species of retro fashion victims :o) ..... men in traditional attire is most appropriate but sadly it attracts more strange looks these days.

For my sister's wedding, I was asked my a few people why I am in ethnic wear :o)... especially my relatives from my hometown who assume all city folks wear only western attire ...

Thats a colonial hangover that most Indians suffer from that
people who wear suit and boot
automatically become decent and
cultured
